Rest Day

In SJPdP. I am alone in the gîte and enjoy the quietness. Every move is carried out with the utmost care and consideration. I am a Zen monk par excellence. I said goodbye to Richard earlier. Great guy. Through the door of the loo (shit house) I hear the birds chirping. Roger and grim Gerard are climbing up to Roncesvalles today. My decision to walk the Camino Frances still feels extremely good. It is very likely (you can never say that with certainty) that I'll see Paul again tomorrow. I would also like to see Valentine again. Let's see what the time will reveal. My heart speaks like this. Yesterday we had a good time with everyone and ate St. Peter's fish and octopus. It was the last day for Laurent. "Très triste". Then Paul came, Irish, veteran of all the parties in the world. Got the fireworks started. Paul made the difference. Then the four of us drank a beer or two: Sophie, Paul, Richard and me. According to Sophie, we were either the four musketeers or the three musketeers + D'Artagnan. My objection that there was also Captain Trèsville (or something like that) went unheard but did not affect the mood. In the end it was a bit too much for me, but there is always something to complain about. For now let's see what the day has to offer.

A very quiet day. You have time to worry about little things again: "I hope I don't slip here." "I have to take this step correctly." Out there absolutely ridiculous! In addition, I'm starting to worry about time again: 12.45 p.m. hairdresser appointment, I also want to get enough sleep. Moreover I want to write postcards. Today I have as much time as never before in the last month and I have as many troubles with time as never before in the last month. That's really sick somehow.

Just listen to "I, I follow, I follow you" etc. sounding through the room window. The mood is back to 180 mph. Roger said that further up in Roncesvalles there are around 220 beds and the house is crowded. So curious. And then again: don't rush. Your own conscious centre is the best place to be.
