64th Hiking Day

On the way from Santiago to Negreira. Hiked alone this morning at 9 a.m. Instant coffee, an apple, a bit of chocolate as a basis. The landscape behind Santiago is really beautiful. I hike through eucalyptus forests. The fog bell still hangs over everything. Unfortunately, yesterday I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to the three Spaniards. But as always: may the three chaps live forever. Yesterday I wasn't able to see the inside of the cathedral either. But the four wines with Steffi made more than up for it. It's not a pity. I also ate with Valentine and the others (including CJ) Baby Squid with salt and lemon juice, fried. Delicious. Also changed to a bar and saw Chester again. I don't know how he did it, to make up for a whole day's head start. Oh yes, and we said goodbye to Meg who I met in France. Got some bling-bling from the 50s as a wedding ring. Still looked beautiful. More or less fit I continue into the backcountry today.

I don't quite understand why they built a river barrage here.

Today I wish to see Valentine again.
