57th Hiking Day

On the way from O Cebreiro to Triacastela. Yesterday I was finally able to speak to a French countryman again. It was just a little bit, but that was my highlight of the day. Good Philip even brought me two beer bottles because I had to wait for the laundry in the Albergue. Hiked with three Spaniards this morning. Talked to Serafin about European politics. Very interesting. I shared the beer from yesterday with the Spaniards. Well, one bottle for me, the other one for the three of them. Galicia is really beautiful. The hills covered with forests that shine in the autumn colours of yellow, red and brown. Small villages on the mountainside or in the valleys. All of this is quite formidable. And I met Steffi again this morning. We had an extremely pleasant conversation about introversion and extroversion.

It's funny that I'm sitting now in the bar and on the same chair where I ate my first pulpo with the South Korean guy last time. Didn't even remember that it was in Triacastela. I also had Galician soup and O Cebreiro cheese with honey for lunch with the Spaniards. Muy bien.

Also drank 3 cervezas with Serafin, Cem and Xavier in the evening. Xavier likes to listen to Manowar, Cem has 5 guitars at his house and Serafin says he has problems listening to other people. All of them great guys. I felt really good with them. Tonight I also had O Cebreiro cheese with quince jam and baguette for € 3.50. Not too bad. Nobody can complain about that. Nice too, very nice that I came into contact with Spaniards. And somehow Adri had her part in this again. 6 more days to Santiago. Feet and legs still hold, I smoke a bit along the way and all in all, it's a good start. It's also funny that I was able to speak French again with Cem and Xavier because they can't speak a word of English. Vamos, muchachos.
