42nd Hiking Day

On the way from I forgot the name to I forgot the name. I'm slowly getting on track and things are starting to be fun. Problem no. 1: I need at least one pack of tissues. By the way, yesterday I got "pleuned". But also actually a nice walk with Pleun. I explained the matter to her. That I like her a little. And she explained to me: yes, she likes me too. But as a friend. And with that I had my closure. Yesterday and today I don't feel knocked out really. Sure, I was a bit down yesterday but that passed quickly. In fact, I'm a little proud that my voice didn't shake at all. And now I feel clear. I ate an incredibly soggy and tasteless pasta yesterday. It was a nice evening though. This guy from Washington (his words: "I invented a space station between sun and earth.") started a game. Everyone should give their name and their reason to walk the Camino. Not a good idea for my taste. Peer pressure in this really delicate topic. You'd rather do that in a very small group, if you really feel comfortable. But it turned out to be a fun evening after all. At first I thought (according to the motto: let's tell the truth), I would stand up and say something like "You are all a bunch of douchebags". I really wanted to do it. But then this Englishman (Chester) unpacked his liqueur made from elderberry and the atmosphere was pleasant. I got to know a little bit of the background story of all the others. Oh dear, and I wanted to label them all as idiots. It's just not going to be made that easy for me. Although I honestly have to say: it might be enough for a fun evening but in the long run the group is too shallow for me. And now let's really be honest: when a guy tells you that he has invented a new space station or has had it patented. You just know how the clock strikes. Everything totally nuts. That's also Camino. But without me guys. Really. A space station.

I just heard there are supposed to be bed bugs in San Juan. That makes my decision easy. Ship ahead to Agés. Another 28 km. Fortunately, the wind has eased a bit.
