St. James Way – A travelogue. Or there and back again (13/03/2022)

I still remember a couple of years ago when I had the ambitious goal of translating »Lord of the Rings« into english. Just to compare whether the actual translation was really an appropriate one. You know, so you can bring up that topic on the next dinner party. Ahem. Anyway, I managed five pages and decided: no way. That's just not for me. It was an incredibly time-consuming work which requires – in my opinion – even more concentration than for example revising my stories.

However, this time with my travel journal of the St. James Way I found that I wanted to give it another try. After all: the official language on the camino with all the nationalities involved is pretty much english. And I met a lot of great english speaking characters along the way. So now, after an extensive work of translating, revising and building up the website I hereby present all of it both in german and english.

And I don't know. Beside all the work it was also a bit fun. But you have to focus on some things. And translating is just a profession I'm willing to leave to others.

Anyway, here it is: »St. James Way – A travelogue«.

PS. Also a big Thank You to the most Irish Swabian. Or was it the most Swabian Irishman? It is difficult to tell sometimes.
